We have begun migration of most wikis to our new host, Amazon Web Services. All but the top 100 wikis are in read-only mode until the migration is complete. Estimated completion: End of Week.

List of known bugs

From Starbound Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

The purpose of this page is to list all current known bugs players have come across. Single-player bugs may also apply to multiplayer.

Do not add fixed bugs in here, this page is designed is to collect currently known bugs! Only non-patched bugs should be here. See Version History, but also a list of known anomalies as well.

Crashes

  • After creating a character, you press on it and game shuts down.
  • Black Current Crumble crashes the game with no error messages.
  • Sometimes, when hitting a monster on a world, especially with a wooden bow, the entire game crashes. This can be followed by a series of crashes, access denied violations, etc.
  • Ice Chucker crashes the game whenever you hover your mouse over it.
  • Health Bomb crashes game of everyone who witnesses it being used.
  • Game crashes directly after "Done searching for port forwarding".
  • Game crashing after trying to join server, reported in v. Irritated Koala
  • Constant server crashes.
  • Beaming to someone's ship when your own ship is traveling will cause your game to crash, and you won't be able to join this server, even after restart.
  • If you input nothing into the text inputs at the join server page under the multiplayer tab, the game crashes.
  • Activating the travel menu can cause the game to crash. Restarting works with some lag.
  • If your ABC notation files are not in the standard format, trying to play them on any instrument crashes the game (Windows 7).
  • Game crashes periodically when typing into crafting screen.
  • As a human, eating some of the recipes intended for a Glitch exits the game promptly without any message.
  • Picking up an instrument from inside a container, clicking outside it, placing it in your inventory, playing it and proceeding to exit the chest will glitch your ship. You may warp out of it, but warping back into it will give you a black screen, only allowing you to warp back out.
  • Some songs can crash the game. The reason in unknown as of now.
  • Having the 3D Printer open causes some clients to crash. Causes client crashing, and occasional shipworld file corruption. Character and world files have always remained intact.
  • Launcher crashes upon opening in OSX Yosemite.
  • Game seems to crash on OSX Yosemite when certain monsters attack or shoot projectiles.
  • Game seems to crash on OSX Mountain Lion when any additional window is opened. (inventory or chest etc)
  • Game crashes on OSX Mavericks when dying in Erchius Mining Facility.
  • Trying to bind any accented character or 10th mouse button in the in-game keymapping interface crashes the game.
  • Taking screenshots via the Steam Overlay breaks the game visuals, i.e, makes the game window go black. The game is still running. Taking repeated screenshots doesn't fix the issue. Some have reported this only occurs in the Open-GL run versions of the game client, as well as that certain systems are not able to reproduce the bug.
  • Client crash on planets with radiation, possibly due to a minibiome. Does not affect the 64-Bit experimental client.
  • Attacking with any melee weapon causes the game to crash.
  • Warping to Alien biomes cause crashes.
  • Client crashes and other minor graphical glitches when creating a Novakid.
  • When jumping into the arena to fight the penguin mech (Weapons Testing Facility) in multiplayer, the game client crashes. Specifically, once you drop through the trap door to fight the penguin mech, some time during or shortly after landing the fall, the game crashes.
  • Using the Targeted Blink tech in a ship results in game crashing. Any attempts on accessing the character again results in the client crashing.
  • Repeated use of the Targeted Blink on any location causes the player to be suddenly trapped in mid-air with nothing around the player. The game becomes unresponsive and in turn corrupts the .player file.

Restoring a character file backup created by the game restores functionality but any progress made will be lost then.

Client-side

  • There is no bugtracker for Starbound.
  • Game doesn't launch on Mac. (can be fixed by deleting "player" folder in "assets")
  • On exiting the game, some errors are shown.
  • On OSX, the menu does not appear, you have to resize the window to make it show
  • Resizing windows when playing in window mode makes background music change.
  • If it's raining and the roof is out of screen, it will rain down as if there isn't a roof.
  • Big dungeons with hostile enemies cause great lag.
  • While on ship, when the background is rotating after a while, there is a small skip of rotation, making the smooth transition break for a split second.
  • Scroll bars don't work.
  • Alt tabbing out when in fullscreen mode reverts to windowed mode.
  • The time on the planet continues to advance while you are in your ship, however there is no indication of the time of day while in orbit.
  • At character creation, human undy color can be picked, however there is no visual indication of what color you have picked.
  • Maximum coordinates that can be input are +/- 999999999 however you can go to planets beyond that.
  • Temperature at night is higher than at day on snow planets.
  • Avians talk with their eyes.
  • Plants may grow on prison floors.
  • Moving really fast can catch up to the loading of areas, leaving big squares of open space, which pretty much freeze anything that tries to come in. This can also have the effect of moving NPCs, resulting in them getting stuck inside blocks.
  • Long names clip outside their intended area at the top left corner of the screen where character information is displayed.
  • In a similar way, you can go through the roof of your ship by placing a shelf very near the ceiling, place bed on it, then use the bed from below and wake up. You will be stuck there though.
  • It is possible to die after beaming up. After the part in the animation where your character is off screen but the screen is still on the planet, if an enemy hits where you were previously standing, you take damage. If you die, the beam animation completes to your ship, but you do not show up. Then, after a 3-5 second pause, the game shows the respawn animation.
  • Asteroid fields on moon, snow and tundra type planets are colder than in any other planet types. This requires players to use two campfires to gain heat in warmest clothes available.
  • Ice planets appear really close to the sun and deserts appear far from a sun.
  • Hunger will not go down when you're sitting on anything, not just while in the bed.
  • If you press escape whiles the game is loading, it errors out. This can be reproduced only if you manage to make the game stay at the loading screen, and you can resize the screen.
  • If a computer can't handle Starbound, it freezes entirely, forcing a reload.
  • The armour is drawn behind the character's body.
  • No thunder sound effects during storms.
  • Plants in the jungle and other biomes sound like breaking jars.
  • Using bandages has eating animation
  • It is possible to "read selected" when nothing is selected, resulting in an empty entry.
  • Game stops working on Ubuntu after a few minutes.
  • The ground above and below structures (dungeons, ships, labs, etc) is now always flat, like every structure is a village.
  • universalDamage no longer applies to players, so self*damage with explosions is near impossible.
  • Teleport pads do not work sometimes.
  • You cannot open the navigation GUI while sitting in the pilot's seat. If you close the GUI, you remain seated and unable to reopen the gui until you get out of the chair.
  • Zooming out on the starmap sometimes causes the application window goes from fullscreen to windowed and setting the overall zoom level to maximum.
  • When trying to begin playing an instrument, the game closes with no warning. (Started with v. Angry Koala)
  • Extreme Framerate drops in locations with many animated/light objects
  • In the moons, when digging straight down, air becomes breathable on certain depth.
  • LibSDL-1.2.so.0 is not packaged with the game. On Ubuntu version 14.04 (64-bit), installing the libsdl1.2debian package allows the game to run.
  • Windows pertaining to inventory (chests, shiplocker, etc) can have multiple instances of the same window.
  • First loading takes quite a long time, more than two minutes, but any other loading takes only five seconds. (Linux Ubuntu)
  • The Beam Home option sometimes warps into another character's homeworld. It appears to move an entire spaceship there, not just the player character.
  • The rumble of the Rocket Boots keeps playing even after boots are turned off.

Server-side

  • Some players cannot join servers, even if port forwarded properly
  • Mis-identifying party members
  • Passwords stopped working
  • Client-server connection is no longer valid
  • When you have a group and you are underground, you can always port yourself to the ship of your teammate.
  • In multiplayer, multiple people can click on a single distress beacon at once which causes multiple UFOs to spawn.
  • If on a server and on someone else's ship, and if they disconnect, you can't use the teleport and if you try, your player is removed and you are unable to do anything except disconnect.
  • If you upgrade your starmap in one server and then move to another one you will have to reforge the starmaps because it will be reset temporarily to Alpha. However, if you go back to the server on which you created the other starmaps, you can still go to the starmaps you created there.
  • If you click a party member's name, you can't get rid of the dialog box that pops up without teleporting to their ship.
  • When you're a leader of group, clicking on other characters show your name.
  • In multiplayer, when mining, fighting, or looting together, loot always goes to the player with the lowest ping.
  • When filling in the fields on the Multiplayer dialog to connect to a server, trying to tab from the IP field to the password field inserts an empty character at the end of the IP address.
  • Entering the server with two characters at once resets your current planet.
  • Creatures look inconsistent among player clients. Possibly Linux64 vs. Windows, haven't confirmed.
  • In multiplayer servers, when you start playing an instrument in a ship and beam down, the user of the instrument will continue to hear the music, but others will not hear anything and only see the animation.
  • Occasionally, when playing multiplayer, when a team of 3+ characters is formed, it becomes impossible to beam to the ship of the player listed second on the upper left of the screen. Clicking on the portrait displays your own name and will beam you to your own ship.
  • On Linux, when an user connects, the log is showing a broken IPv6 display.
  • When two players accidentally sit in the same chair somehow, one of them gets teleported to the previous seat, resulting sometimes even in being on a different planet.
  • Same goes for tents, but here, players gets teleported somewhere below the ground.
  • Memory leak in the 64-bit Linux server version.
  • Planet Time is not saved when a planet's resources are freed up, resulting in a planet reverting instantly to dawn once everyone has left it.
  • Running the Erchius Mining Facility mission in multiplayer prevents the player from using FTL in single player.
  • Doing /ban on a character will cause all handshakes afterwards to try and use that banned character's last IP.
  • Heavy CPU usage happens with the 64-bit executable.
  • Asset Digest Checking does not function. When enabled, and players connect, it will automatically verify their assets are the same as the servers even when they aren't.
  • Password protection via the starbound.config server file doesn't work.

Trading & Duplication

  • Extremely bad duping: Run a server or log on to your favorite one then open a second client and log on again. Throw any items you want duped to your other self and close your client then save and quit on the first client.
  • A glitch with the throwing block: once it lands you can pick it up and the background, creating a double.
  • Duplicating a tent by pressing E exactly at the same moment you place it.
  • Nearly any chests found in the wild, harvested and placed again can be abused for infinite loot by repeatedly "placing chest -> looting chest -> picking up chest"
  • It is possible to dupe grappling hooks, and, possibly, other items as well.
  • It is possible to stay on other player's ship after s/he left the server. Any item taken from the ship will remain in your inventory. But when the player re-enter, his/her items are back, resulting in successful duping.
  • If you (somehow) kill a special pet, it will drop a filled capture pod, regardless. This cannot dupe the pet, only the pod.

Crafting

  • 3D printer scans objects, which cannot be made later.
  • In the crafting menu (of the crafting table), skull blocks appear twice, on top and bottom of the list. One needs three bones to be made, the other four.
  • Some craftable items are not affected by any filter. Steel Bar in Metalwork Station can be found only in "all items" folder.
  • Smelting ore in the Stone Furnace sometimes creates more ore.
  • If you are smelting ore and shift-click another ore, the other ore stack in the furnace disappears
  • The Perfectly Generic Item does not register when trying to create the corntent item
  • Flesh block crafting uses Crystals instead of Flesh Strands.
  • Dyes cannot be crafted.

Wiring

  • Wires which connect objects in different chunks will vanish if one chunk is loaded but the other isn't.
  • The Titanium Console does not allow wiring: after placing the item and equipping the wiring tool, no red i/o circle appears to connect it to other devices.
  • Wiring can reset upon re-entering a planet.
  • USCM Penal Colony Panel is listed in the Wire category yet it has no wiring capabilities

Blocks

  • When you mine sand under a tree, the tree just disappears without giving any wood
  • Platinum Ore is even rarer than Titanium
  • Sometimes you can shut a door on yourself and trap yourself in the door.
  • If you try to jump while placing blocks under your character, sometimes it happens to be stuck in the blocks until you break them.
  • Some blocks turn into other blocks when destroyed
  • Cobblestone comes in a variety of colours but in the inventory, they have the same grey sprite, but as different stacks.
  • When opening a door with a torch where the door is going to be opened, the torch phases through the door and appears to be attached to it.
  • Some furniture becomes solid if a solid block is placed just above them.
  • Durasteel Doors acts like a two block wide door but once placed, it changes to an one block door.
  • The golden bunny statue can be picked up if you mine the blocks under it, and if it is placed in a ship you cannot remove it.
  • The Titanium Chair is bugged. You sit in it the wrong way, like you are sitting on the arm.
  • While placing Durasteel Doors between the door frames of the ship, they slide to the right and will physically push and move you.
  • When a tent's entrance faces left, a player's head stick out when sleeping in it.
  • You can teleport through a wall if you place a chair, a bed or any other sleep/sit item on the other side (just right click the chair and you'll find yourself sitting on it, even with a wall between you and the chair)
  • The prison console disappears when interacting with it and will reappear on a second interaction.
  • When laying down to sleep, your character is brought to the forward-most layer. NPCs will walk in between you and the bed. This works with every bed type.
  • Sitting in a chair that is in the very front of the ship will get you stuck when you stand up.
  • Plants can grow over the walls of the ship.
  • Window Blinds are on the middle layer, so you can't walk passed them.
  • Unrefined Wood found in a pre-generated structure can't currently be used to craft, despite having the same exact name and icon.
  • The glitch castle door has no opening/closing sound.
  • Apparently, you can build some tiles up on the top part of the screen
  • While placing book piles in a fully background walled-area, some of the books will fall off and disappear.
  • Glitch Furnace cooks food instead of smelting ore.
  • After looting a tent on world and going back to the ship the tent will no longer be able to be placed and setup on the ground
  • Durasteel Doors are off-center, always hanging out right-of-center.

Items

  • Changing log files can sometimes lead to enormous changes in items, after using which it can lead to your computer malfunctioning. Same goes for servers.
  • Race-specific food can be perfectly eaten by other species, without any harm.
  • Iron bed and anvil sometimes cannot be found in the inventory after being created.
  • Crafting more then 1000 items at one time (999 x 3 wood planks for example) will only give you 1000.
  • Golden bunny statue doesn't drop.
  • If you change instruments while playing a song, you keep playing with the sound effects of the first instrument.
  • If you use a bandage from the hotbar and then immediately switch to another item by pressing a number, the bandage is consumed but you don't get the regeneration buff.
  • Grappling hooks don't get used when swapping items after use, as opposed to jumping to cancel it.
  • Opening song GUI, switching hold item and trying to play the song will teleport to your ship.
  • Some items will destroy Matter Blocks if they fall on them. Works with Torches and pixel containers.
  • Codex entries are still marked as NEW even after you read them completely.
  • Sector X Starmaps are Gamma starmaps for those you make the map for, unless you stick it in a container, then it switches to an X for those people
  • The Rustic Oven and Barrel Fire are labeled as storage containers when they are being used for crafting.
  • Campfires can bug into disappearing if you have more than one of them.
  • Snowballs can do insane damage when their not supposed to, sometimes.
  • When using rope changing items, it will cause rope not to be consumed.
  • The beam from the Matter Manipulator doesn't always show up
  • ABC songs not specifically written for band play are out of sync
  • Sometimes other players will fail to generate music despite playing instruments.
  • Defense turrets only cost 1 pixel to print in the 3D printer.
  • Sometimes when you collect flower petals, you can have them teleport away from you and end having them stuck floating in mid-air.
  • Light bluish Moonstone drops as blood red items.
  • Tiered ores (Iron, Titanium, Aegisalt, Cerulium, Rubium) cannot be used for repairs, despite their description. Diamond ore also suffers from this bug.
  • Fuel rods (Made from uranium/plutonium/solarium) are worth the same as their ore, making them useless.

Combination

  • If you wield a hunting knife in the left hand and a pickaxe on the right, you'll do a downward slash animation with the hunting knife instead of the forward swipe that you normally do.

Status Effects

  • Water doesn't put out burning.

Liquids

  • When structure is spawned underneath a water pool, the water sometimes stays in the air.
  • If water falls from an underground biome to another biome, the water color from its original biome will stack on top of the water in the current biome.
  • If water is generated above the cave without back layer, water will be hanging in the air above those blocks without background and does not fall down until some water-moving event occurs, i.e. some blocks near the water is removed.
  • Water doesn't flood the tops of vines.
  • Sometimes falling lava is shown as small dots on the sides, which disappear after a bit. Lava at the top keeps decreasing.
  • Acid (next to toxic waste barrels) is drained gradually from a pool by placing one block into it.
  • Certain biomes water allow for torch placements on the wall inside the water. Red water in Flesh biomes do this for sure.

Lighting

  • The Lantern Stick may not give off light, and additionally bugs weapons and causes invisibility in multiplayer.

Techs

  • When using the Dash tech facing backwards, it still uses a forward facing "dash shadow". This may not really be a bug, but actually just a missing animation.
  • When using your Mech near other players for the first time, it will make a horrendous noise for everyone close to you including yourself.
  • Entering the mech while on uneven ground or in a ship will make your game freeze for 20 seconds and produce a very loud and screechy sound.
  • Holding the down button while using the blink tech, can cause you to teleport through walls (only horizontal walls). You can even blink outside your ship and get stuck.
  • Mechs are available but they only do one damage to any monsters above level 10.
  • Clicking on a tech in inventory results in a reset of the clicked tech, allowing nearly infinite use of it, if having enough energy.
  • Can't exit morphball when underwater.
  • Techs that make Electric noise can bug out when swapping techs in mid use.
  • When using the 'gravity bubble' tech: if you fall on a trap and take damage and then try flying out of that trap using gravity bubble you cannot move left or right, only fly up or fall down. Also you cannot place any blocks while in this state.
  • If the morphball tech is buried in gravel or sand, it becomes impossible to stand.
  • The Bubble Boost sound effect occasionally keeps playing after the player stops using the tech, and repeats until the next time the player uses it.

Monsters

  • T2 boss (Fatal Circuit) gets stuck on uneven terrain.
  • Third boss (Bone Dragon) shoots fire too high, you get no damage while standing still.
  • The hitbox of the T4 boss (Jelly) does not seem to match where it actually is, or is unclear.
  • Sometimes enemies can't get past one-block high ground.
  • Monsters with a projectile attack will still be able to finish their attack even after you kill them.
  • Monsters can knock you into blocks. You can clip through them and get stuck.
  • Flying Monsters have their Hitbox one frame in front of the actual animation.
  • Enemies take no falling damage.
  • Mini bosses under level 11 still fail to drop uncommon or higher items.
  • You are able to shoot creatures with rocket launchers and they won't become hostile.
  • Fish can spawn in lava, but they don't live long
  • If you drain water from a fish filled lake, the fish sometimes swim in the air.
  • In the sewers, there are yellow spiders. When you hit them, instead of getting knocked back like other enemies, they just slide into the air until they hit a wall or something.
  • Sometimes non-hostile enemies may start flashing on death, but won't die. They continue attacking the player.
  • Small monsters attack themselves and has problems with moving.
  • Small monsters accidentally lose any hostility after being attacked.
  • Flying monsters after death are falling on you and can deal damage.
  • Baby monsters you encounter above ground may be always hostile, with adult monsters being the opposite.
  • Flying monsters aggro even though you're inside a house or similar where they have no way to reach you.
  • Grazing enemies do not attack when you come in range, but seemingly get stuck in the grazing pose. They do make a noise showing they are attacking though. Hitting the enemy fixes this.
  • Mechanical spiders can walk sideways.
  • Minibosses sometimes get stuck on flat surfaces.
  • Pets attack non-hostile NPCs.
  • Sometimes, very rarely, when a monster is dying of a multihit, like a bonehammer attack, it can continue floating up in the air, due to knockback
  • Sometimes enemy bullets will be totally blocked even w/o a shield equipped
  • Dungeon traps do no damage to enemies.
  • On low gravity worlds the fish can now swim out of the ponds and continue swimming through the air
  • After defeating an enemy, their sprite/body can still damage you before it disappears

NPCs

  • Speech Bubbles of NPC's in town sometimes disappear leaving only the left border of the bubble and nothing else visible. This may be bound to hunger meter and/or loot messages, appearing down the screen.
  • You can still purchase items from hostile NPC shop owners, and can also persuade them to lead you back to their shop. They will continue to attack you while you shop. All dialog plays out as usual.
  • Villagers or merchants in villages may be killed without guards coming to fight the player, unless a guard is attacked specifically.
  • Villagers will till the soil in random spots, with no rhyme or reason.
  • Agarans yell "You again!" when facing wildlife. This is strange since the Universal Translator does not understand Agaran-speak properly.
  • Client crashes, seemingly at random upon killing NPC Villagers. This seems to happen most when said Villagers are cornered. Does not seem to occur with Guards. Kills were made using Melee weapons exclusively.
  • Nearly all NPCs have a tendency to clone themselves.
  • In the Avian Temple, enemies drop only T2 weapons.
  • On occasion, cultists near the black skull alters will spawn four blocks underground, leaving only their heads visible.
  • The cultists almost always spawn in the ground, with only their heads showing. They are stuck there until hit.
  • Turrets will kill non-hostile NPCs
  • Any weapons selling NPC will randomly generate a new inventory of weapons each time it's opened. Furthermore, every time a weapon is selected from the inventory, a new random weapon with unique stats will be displayed instead, however, each random weapon is still confined to the original inventory's class. (rifle, staff, etc) This allows the player to shuffle through random weapons until they find one with the best stats and purchase it for the same price as what would originally be sold.
  • When placing down a Colony Deed, then destroying it while an NPC is spawning in, there's a chance it will keep the first NPC. The NPC will then proceed to constantly teleport back to the place you put the deed down. When putting down another Colony Deed in the same room, the original tenant will have no reaction of there being "another" deed.

Physics

  • The grappling hook has weird physics, there's no friction on the extension/retraction.
  • Falling sand/gravel sometimes is destroyed or lands on top of torches as if they're solid blocks.
  • Gravel or Fine Sand falling onto Pixel Capsules will cause the falling block to disappear without dropping anything.

Grammar

  • The pixel compressor will clip visible values beyond 10000, leaving only the last three or four numbers visible. The full number of pixels is still valid.
  • The 10k Voxel does not have enough room for the text so it looks like it says that it costs 1000 pixels
  • There might be a small grammatical error with the Bone Chimes text. There must be a missing word.
  • "Scavenger's Grieves" should be "Scavenger's Greaves" instead
  • The naming on the Outrider's Armour (Durasteel set for Humans) is messed up. The helm is called the chestplate and the chestplate is called the helm.
  • There is a spelling mistake in one speechbubble, with 'thino' instead of 'think' (Avian or Apex)
  • In the codex, A To-Do List, part of the text on the second page runs out of the window.
  • "Dark Smooth Sdone" should be "Dark Smooth Stone" instead

  • Geometric Bed, Geometric Table, and Geometric Chest have the same descriptions as their Rubium equivalents.
  • "Currentcorn" and "Currentcorn Seed" appear to have their descriptions switched.
  • The description for the Rum Barrel has a typo. It is assumed it should read "hopefully."
  • One of the first quest panels may be too short, causing text to overlap the quest reward window.
  • "The Avian Sandstone Statue I" is misspelled as Asvian Sandstone Statue.
  • The Scientist cosmetic set pants are called Scientist Coat, same as the chest piece is.
  • The Pilot Goggles are misspelled as Pilot Googles
  • Techs has no description
  • Toadstool Converter has no description
  • Sellable vanity items has no description

  • testflower5: no description and no name
  • testbush with: no description and no name
  • testflower7: no description and no name

  • Geometric/Snowed/Crystal saplings: no icons
  • Rusty Chests have been renamed to Ice Chests.
  • The Pilot Goggles are misspelled as Pilot Googles

Weapons

  • You can hit enemies through walls with projectiles, if the weapon produces any. Tesla Staffs and similar weapons can shoot through one-block walls.
  • The higher a gun's projectile speed, is the higher does it seem to be off with aiming at some angles.
  • Rocket launchers do not properly aggro monsters, the battle music plays but the monster won't chase after you. You can even de-aggro a monster by firing a rocket at it.
  • Grenade launchers allow the user to kill teammates and self.
  • When you hold a spear, you naturally hold it in your left hand, however, attack with it while facing right causes your spear to switch hands for the duration of the attack.
  • Plasma grenade and bomb are also bugged, you can kill every player even if he/she isn't in pvp mode.
  • In prison dungeons, tier 2 daggers may be dropped from the prisoners even though if the planet is in the Alpha sector.
  • Ranged weapons can require +100 energy to shoot.
  • When using two handed weapon with some effect (poison, lightning, etc), LMB works normally, but with RMB, it's a different affect
  • Hunting Knife got turned into a 2h weapon.
  • It appears that the hunting knife causes drops in general to increase, rather than drops from just animals.
  • Arrows sometimes do no damage
  • Shotguns deal the same amount of damage regardless of how many pellets hit.
  • About 30% of the time when firing an arrow at a creature (when above the creature, shooting down), the arrow hits the creature, and the arrow disappears, but no damage is dealt.
  • Before the latest patch, Carver and Carver XL had the same DPS. After the patch, Carver (1H) has one point higher DPS than Carver XL (2H).
  • The Thrashthrower weapon that has the sliding bomb attribute does damage to players
  • Some swords are grabbed like a spear, in the middle and not on the end.
  • The majority of splash damage can cause damage to other players, even with PvP off. This also applies to certain Legendary Swords with area effect ability.
  • When projectiles are shot from point blank at a target, they sometimes disappear and fail to deal damage.

Armor

  • When selecting some armors on the Yarn Spinner, it does not show the mannequin.
  • On reaching Tier 3, with Steel Armor, there is an extremely high chance of being one-shot without explanation. Even with shields (while blocking), even from attacks that should do non-lethal damage.
  • The bug with the instant-kill in Tier 3 with full steel armor also has a strange issue where sometimes damage that wouldn't kill you normally (not blocking), will kill you instantly simply because you're blocking.
  • Avian Aegisalt armor (possibly for other races also) gives 32 total armor even though the description says 31.
  • Energy attacks may bypass armor.
  • Sweatshirt "armor" mannequin does not display when viewing item in merchant window.

Game Generation

  • Dungeons that appear over the 'terminator' in the middle of the world (or rather at the edges due to the clever world looping) are essentially cut in half and end in a brick wall.
  • Asteroids in the background of asteroid fields get cut-off near other planets in the background, resulting in odd-looking asteroids that seem to be cut in half.
  • Elevation issues everywhere.

Graphical

  • Other players are unable to see the animation of Pulse Jump and Pulse Dash
  • Wearing any sort of hat makes you appear bald when sleeping/respawning.
  • Items with something covering one eye (e.g. Pirate Cap, and Monocle) will switch to the other eye when you turn around. This is probably due to the sprites used simply being reversed when you turn around.
  • When underwater, swinging a weapon at an ore makes weapon clip over the ore image and be behind the foreground image.
  • Enemy life bar pictures are not lining up in their frames.
  • Placement of monster icon is off the box
  • Swing animations do not change sides when the player turns around and if the player quickly switches items before swinging (enough to cancel the attack), switches to a different item and goes back to the weapon, the swing will reactivate.
  • When swinging a weapon, the slash effect is visually behind the player.
